Holophane Turquoise Pendant Lights

A pair of large antique holophane prismatic light shades in turquoise / blue with the original 2 part galleries,hooks and ceramic lampholders. From an English school 1930s-40s. The turquoise prismatic glass is etched to the inside so has a matt finish and is very crisply moulded. I believe the idea of the colour was to help shift the colour of the outputted light more towards daylight. All complete. The galleries have been cleaned, polished and waxed and retain some paint. They also have an earthing point so the original lampholders can be used. The shades are also marked around the rim; " HOLOPHANE 531 PATD 1910 No 28182 ENGLAND " Please note these shades have always been one piece (no glass covers) These ones are supplied with their original hooked ceiling plates and wooden pattresses -cleaned/polished/waxed- and 24/61cm of old chain Dimensions in inches/cms; 10.25"/25.5cms max diameter by 12"/30.5 tall including galleries. Supplied with 1 meter fabric flex and chain (as above). I have other similar fittings available. Some of these can also be supplied with the original cast iron hooked ceiling plates and wooden pattresses. Priced individually.
