1950s Floor Lamp

A highly adjustable 1950s floor lamp in original light yellow / primrose paint with label; CARDINAL ELECTO-MEDICA APPARATUS MADE IN ENGLAND. Spun aluminium shade, brass arm and stem, and very stable cast iron base all painted in original primrose yellow. Chrome plated brass rising stem, chromed brass and steel fittings. All works and adjusts very well; the shade moves up and down and rotates, the arm moves up and down and the chromed central stem (which extends) rotates. Rewired with 3 meters "linen" fabric flex, white traditional hard plastic plug and a nickel plated brass cord grip has been added. The Edison screw porcelain lampholder is original. Dimensions in inches/cms; Max height is 80"/203cm. (56"/144cm height of central stem extended with arm lowered). Minimum height of central stem is 34"/86cm. The arm length from joint to joint is 16"/41cm.(Max width 29"/74cm). Shade diameter is 10.5"/27cm. Base diameter is 11.5"/29cm.
