Rare Pair Lamps by Durlston Designs

A rare pair of vintage double armed table lights by Durlston Designs Ltd. English, 1960s. Large scale chromed brass and steel lamps, the chromed stems joined and strengthened by a black painted steel bridge above which the chromed arms swivel to adjust the shade position (one arm of one lamp is fixed). Mostly in very good condition but with wear to some parts of the circular base plates (see images). Cleaned, polished and rewired with 3 meters (exposed) black fabric flex, new hard plastic plugs, and new chromed brass safety-switched lampholders (a couple of the original lampholders had Durlston Designs labels attached). Sold as a pair with later (as new) shades. All four lamps switched individually. Dimensions in inches/cm; 30"/76cm max height (at lampholder of taller arm). Approx. 34"/86cm to top of drum shades.
